Wonderful weekend for LNBP at Crick Boat Show

LNBP at Braunston has just enjoyed another fantastic and busy weekend at the Crick Boat Show in Northamptonshire.
We have been involved with the Crick Boat Show for a number of years now and once again were privileged to have been appointed Charity Partner of the three-day Show by the organisers, Waterways World Magazine.
Once again, LNBP were hard at work over the course of Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday with the team dotted in three locations albeit close to each other.
Our main tent just above the quayside was the hub for our team of face painters and the vantage point for show goers to book their boat trip.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
A few yards away on the quayside was where our skippers welcomed visitors aboard for their short trip up the Grand Union Canal.

 
 
 
 
 
Close by, our other team members were on hand to provide tours up and below deck of one of our two boats present at the show, Guinevere.

 
 
 
 
 
 
After the rain and mud of 12 months ago, the weather was relatively good for everyone this year, and once again we enjoyed a very productive weekend from boat trips, enquiries received – including some future bookings, and donations.
In total, we took care of 95 skippered trips, serving a total of 818 people – plus 18 dogs, all of whom were taken out on the trip boats during the course of the weekend, with the utilisation being a tremendous 98.6%.  On Monday there was no spare capacity, as every ticket was given out!

 
 
 
 
 
Actual numbers were 279 on Saturday, 290 on Sunday and 250 on Monday.

 
 
 
 
 
Everything seemed to flow properly and hopefully we should get some bookings from the people who viewed Guinevere, especially given there was certainly some very interested people who will be contacted soon.
