On the back of the news that LNBP Community Boating have taken delivery of a donation of new life jackets courtesy of Midland Chandlers and Crewsaver, they are also pleased to announce the award of a donation to the replenishment of their new stock.
Following a successful application, LNBP have also been awarded and presented with a further sizeable contribution towards the cost of the life jackets from the Rugby Group Benevolent Fund (RGBF).
First established in 1955 with the original aim of supporting the welfare of employees and former employees, and their dependants, The Rugby Group Benevolent Fund still retains its original objectives but has widened its scope to include charitable causes in the communities in which its employees, former employees and their dependants live.
RGBF Chair Graeme Fuller and fellow Trustee John Brooks were on hand at the Crick Boat Show on Friday along with representatives from LNBP, Midland Chandlers and Crewsaver to get a look at the new life jackets and also go below deck on LNBP’s boat Guinevere to find out more about what it can offer to community groups and organisations.
Speaking about the donation, Tobin said, “LNBP are delighted and thankful to the Board of the Rugby Group for this wonderful donation which will also benefit so many people to enjoy our local and regional canals safely”.
