Saturday May 23rd 2020 was scheduled to be the opening day of the Crick Boat Show, with the Saturday of the Show also traditionally the day of the LNBP Annual General Meeting.

It is one of the three days of the year when a large number of the LNBP family gather together to look back at the year just gone, look forward to the year ahead and generally catch up with each other over what is normally a busy day and weekend at the Show.

However our plans for this year have been changed somewhat due to the coronavirus pandemic and as a result the postponement of this year’s Crick Boat Show. Instead, for that evening, Nigel Smith, LNBP’s Booking Officer has arranged for the Parish Church of All Saints, Braunston to be illuminated on our behalf with a message placed in the Braunston Village News.

The spire on the church is a landmark from both road and waterways and it is quite fitting that All Saints – affectionately known by many as the Cathedral of the Canals – will shine out on that night with a message of goodwill and hope for all in these unique and uncertain times.
