It is perhaps hard to believe it but yesterday marked the end of our boating season for this year. Really, where has 2017 gone?
Time really has flown since our de-winterising weekend back in the spring and our first group went out on a weekend trip.
But nearly nine months later and after so many groups have arrived, sailed, explored, returned to Braunston and headed home again, we have come to a close for our season for this year.
2017 has been another busy, highly enjoyable and exciting season of community boating, meeting some wonderful, passionate, fascinating and inspirational people of all ages from many different sections of the community. With them it has been great to welcome the huge numbers of well-behaved youngsters who with their excitement and energy have clearly enjoyed their time with us, as have we with them.
So for everyone here at LNBP – whether it is our skippers, ‘meet and greet’ team, Booking Officers and everyone else besides behind the scenes, a huge thank you to every group and their members who have joined us in 2017 to experience a weekend, short break or longer trip with us this year. It has – as always – been a pleasure to welcome you aboard Lancelot and Guinevere to sample the delights of the Oxford and Grand Union Canals (and its off-shoots) here in beautiful rural central England.
Have a wonderful, safe winter, and we hope to see you and your group in 2018 or in the near future.
